Co-founders, Dave & Rosie Hill

Pastor Dave Hill

Pastor Hill is the CARE pastor at Harvest Baptist Church, Blue Springs, MO. He is also the pastor of the Fruit of Forgiveness Ministry; He served at Graceway Church in various ministries including Urban Discipleship, Gospel Choir, Athletic, and Nursing Home and Detention Home ministries for over 25 years. He pastored the Bearing Fruit Ministry Fellowship, and the Urban Ministry. Dave received his formal education from San Diego City College, University of California at San Diego and San Diego State University. He graduated from Louisiana Baptist University and Theological Seminary, and the Kansas City Baptist Temple Shepherd School of Ministry Bible Institute in 1992. He served as Vice President on the Board of Directors at the Urban Scholastic Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He served as president of United Inner-City Services as well as other organizations. He and his wife, Rosie, share a blended family of 5 adult children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Rosie Hill

Rosie Hill is passionate about teaching the life lessons she has learned. Her love for humanity has been the driving force behind her academic endeavors. As far back as she can remember, she has been keenly aware of “thinking outside the box” to understand the meaning of living a life of joy even in the midst of the storms of life.

She is a retired Neurodiagnostic Technologist. In her forty-five years of service, she obtained three national certifications: (EEG) electroencephalographic, (R.EP T.) Evoked Potential and (CNIM) Certified Neurophysiology Intra-Operative Monitoring from (ABRET) American Board of Registered Electroneurodiagnostic.

She graduated from the four-year Shepherd School of Ministry Bible Institute in 2006. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management and Leadership Development from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas.

An author, Rosie has established herself on a mission to reveal the biblical and neurological aspects of the covert bondage of unforgiveness. She has authored four books about forgiveness including her amazing memoir of her journey, The Covering.

Rosie and her husband David are members of Harvest Baptist Church in Blue Springs, MO where David is the Care Pastor. They are co-founders of the Fruit of Forgiveness Ministry where the mission statement is Teaching Biblical Forgiveness- Strengthening Relationships.

She has an insatiable desire to use what God has taught her for the race she loves, the human race.

Janet Cross, Presenter

Janet, a member of Harvest Baptist Church, Blue Springs MO., is a graduate of Wichita State University with a major in English and a minor in French. Janet is a facilitator in the Fruit of Forgiveness Ministry, serving since 2008. She attended Graceway since 1971 and for 21 years taught a Tuesday evening and Thursday morning ladies’ Bible study called “Abiding in Christ”. She taught in the children’s ministry at Graceway for approximately 18 years. Janet has written a series of five Bible studies – John 15, “The Heartbeat of God”; The Virtuous Woman – Will The Real Virtuous Woman Please Sit Down”; “The Fruit of The Spirit – The Shadow of His Character”; “The Priesthood – Abiding On Holy Ground”; and “Abiding in Christ – The Warfare of the Believer”. Janet has a never ending passion to see God’s people grow in the admonition of the Lord. Her testimony is of upmost integrity. In her words, “I can truly say I have come too far to turn back. I am closer to the end of the race than what I have left behind. There is nothing left that lures me to turn around and go any direction but forward.” Janet is married and she and her husband, Randy, have 2 children and 2 grandchildren. A scripture that she lives by is“Oh magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.” Psalm 34:3

Stacey Watson, Presenter

Join Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor, Stacey Watson as she addresses how forgiveness can be a powerful influence over our thoughts, behaviors and overall mental health. Stacey will provide tools to identify the various forms unforgiveness can take within emotions, and introduce the emotional benefits that comes with true, biblical forgiveness. Stacey and her husband Marvin have two teenage daughters and are members of Midtown Baptist Temple.

Brian Johnson, LPN, RMA, Presenter

Brian Johnson, LPN, RMA, is a member of Harvest Baptist Church of Blue Springs. An author, he wrote “Behaving Wisely” which is available under his pseudo name, Xavier R. Mitchell. He is a Medical Assistant instructor at Concord Medical College. A Raytown South High School graduate, Brian also holds a degree from Penn Valley College and Concord Career Institute. A true follower of Jesus Christ, he has been actively involved in leading small groups and in the Music Praise Ministry. He has a passion for teaching medical assistants and understands the correlation between the body and the mind of Christ. Married to Jennifer with a blended family of 5 children.

Jim Brown, Presenter

Jim and Rachel Brown, members of Grace Church in Overland Park, Kansas, have been married for 35 years and are parents to three adult children. For many years they have facilitated, counseled and mentored married couples through the complexities of relationship issues. They currently facilitate an Over 50’s group and are also associated with Celebrate Recovery, a Christian based organization like AA, but broader in scope. Jim is a licensed minister.
